Florida Product Approvals don't have to be complicated.

PAC helps manufacturers navigate the entire process—from technical evaluations to application submittals and validation—so your team can stay focused on developing and selling products.

Step 1: Product Evaluation

Establish compliance using one of the following methods:

✔ Certification Mark or Listing

✔ Accredited Test Reports

✔ Evaluation Report from a Florida Professional Engineer or Architect

✔ Evaluation Report from an Approved Product Evaluation Entity

Step 2: Application Submittal

Prepare and submit the required documentation through the Florida Product Approval System.

PAC can assist with application preparation, supporting documentation, and coordination throughout the process.

Step 3: Validation

Complete the independent validation process required for statewide approval.

PAC can help ensure that applications are complete, technically supported, and ready for review.

It Really Can Be That Simple

Evaluation → Application → Validation

One Team. One Process. One Solution.

Whether you need assistance with one step or the entire process, PAC can help.

2026 Code Transition Opportunity

Product approval applications to the 9th Edition (2026) Florida Building Code will be accepted beginning July 1, 2026.

Application fees will be waived from July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, for all submittals, including those under the 8th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code.

This provides manufacturers with an excellent opportunity to:

✔ Update existing approvals

✔ Submit revisions at no application cost

✔ Transition products to the 2026 code

✔ Address documentation gaps before enforcement begins

✔ Minimize delays in future project approvals

Don't wait until the new code is enforced. Start planning now!

Did You Know?

Statewide vs. Local Product Approval

What is the difference between the state and local product approval system?

Local product approval is conducted by the authority having jurisdiction and is limited to use within that jurisdiction only.

Florida Statewide Product Approvals can be used throughout the State of Florida.

Miami-Dade vs. State Product Approval

What is the difference between Miami-Dade approval and state approval?

Miami-Dade approval is considered a local approval and can only be used within Miami-Dade County.

State approvals with the designation "Approved for High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ)" can be used in Miami-Dade County and throughout the rest of Florida.
